If you notice metal shavings in the grain that is milled, don't worry. This hand grinder is made of cast iron with a tin-plated surface. It's recommended to grind some dry grains several times for the first use to remove any metal and paint shavings.

Keep in mind that this hand mill is not designed to grind items finely. It crushes corn or other grains to create a relatively coarse mix. If you want a finer grind, it may take multiple grindings to achieve the desired consistency. However, if you're looking for a coarser grinding option, this grinder will work well.

• Material & Maintenance: This hand grinder is made of cast iron with an electroplated tin surface. It should not be washed with water directly, as it may rust. Instead, wipe it with a damp cloth or use a brush for cleaning. Dry the parts and then apply oil to the surface to avoid rust. Please note that the surface of cast iron products may be slightly rough.
